Lucky FABB: Outfit #1

Hey, friends!  As promised, it’s time to show you the first outfit I wore at Lucky FABB!  Although the conference itself didn’t start until Friday, we had two pre-FABB events the day before.  The first was the one at Blow Me Away Dry Bar that I mentioned in my highlights post where we got to sample the new Wendy’s Asian Cashew Chicken Salad.  The second was a soireé at Duplex on Third.  It was a dressier event, so I changed out of my plane clothes and into something a little more party appropriate.

Dress: Express // Necklace: Julie Vos // Bracelets, Ring & Earrings: Kendra Phillip // Boots: Target

I absolutely love this dress from Express; it’s a really comfortable knit fabric that moves with you, and I’m crazy about the one shoulder ruffle design.  {Unfortunately, it’s not available anymore, but I did find a similar one for just $40 at Aloha Y’all in case you have to have one.}  I’d have loved to pair it with some fabulous heels, but since I don’t own any that don’t make my feet hurt after about five seconds, I went with my boots instead.  Ankle boots are always cute, right?  Since the dress is solid black, I went for a long statement necklace, my anchor pendant from Julie Vos that I got at FABB NY last October.  I’m obsessed {as you know} with Kendra Phillip jewelry, so I wore my Kara Star earrings, my Kara Heart ring that hubby bought me for Valentine’s Day, and the Stacking Bangles I got at FABB NY.

I had some comments and questions about my red lipstick, so FYI, it’s CoverGirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor in Ever Red-dy.

When I arrived at the party, my hair had long loose curls from my experience at the dry bar.  While I was there, I had a second hair appointment {it’s so fabulous and relaxing having your hair done, isn’t it?!} and my stylist Mark gave me a fun A-line faux bob with lots and lots of curls.

I’m not sure, but this may have been my favorite look the whole weekend.  What do you think?  Is it FABB-worthy?  Stay tuned for outifts 2 and 3, coming soon!
