Coordinates of Love Keychain

You’ll need:
ImpressArt Aluminum Dog Tag Stamping Blank
Ball chain
ImpressArt Lollipop Uppercase and Numbers Metal Stamps
Steel Stamping Block
Metal Stamping Hammer
Stamp Straight Tape
ImpressArt Stamp Enamel
Paper Towel

Step 1: Tape your tag to the steel block.
Use the tape to create a horizontal line that will help keep your stamping straight.

Step 2: Stamp your first line, beginning in the center and working outward.
I decided to use our names for the top line, so I started with the ampersand, then stamped “Dan” and “Amy” on either side of it.

Step 3: Move your tape down and stamp the next line.
Once again, you’ll want to start in the center. My second line was the first of the two geographical coordinates for the location where hubby and I first met a whopping 20 years ago!

Repeat this step for the third line, your other coordinate. Remove the tape and you’ll have your stamped blank.

Step 4: Fill in your impressions with Stamp Enamel.
This will darken the stamped areas, making them easier to read and giving an oxidized look. Just squeeze enough enamel onto the design to cover each letter/number then let it sit for 30 seconds. Then, wipe off the excess with a paper towel.

Ta-da! Your tag is complete! All that’s left to do is turn it into a keychain.

Step 5: Cut a small piece of ball chain and thread it through your tag. Fasten with a clasp.
Of course, you could always use a longer piece of chain to make it a necklace or put it on leather, cord, or anything else you like.
