Personalized Gift Tags

Thanks to Expressionery for sponsoring today’s post; all opinions are my own!

‘Tis the season for buying and wrapping gifts…and of course, one of the most important parts of the packaging is the gift tag! After all, you have to know whose gifts are whose, right? Recently, I shared a tutorial for how to hand letter a tag…which I totally think you should try! But if you don’t have time to make a bunch, here’s an easy way to get a similar look.

I chose two pretty self-inking stamps from Expressionery that actually look an awful lot like my lettering and used them to make a bunch of festive tags in less than five minutes. Here’s how…

Materials:
Self-Inking Stamp {mine are Merry Twinkle & Merry Sprigs Gift Tag Stamp}
Red cardstock
Tag Punch or scissors
Glitter washi tape
Baker’s twine

Step 1: Use your tag punch {or scissors} to create whatever tag shapes you like from your cardstock.

Step 2: Center your stamp on the tag and press down firmly. Little Crafter loves to do the stamping part!

Step 3: Adhere glitter washi tape to the bottom edge of the tag. I wrapped mine all the way around so that the edges wouldn’t peel up.

Step 4: Tie a piece of baker’s twine to the top of the tag, then attach it to your gift!

Easy peasy! You really can make these in a matter of minutes. You can also totally customize them by changing the color and pattern of the cardstock and/or washi tape. Of course, each stamp makes the tags look totally different too. Just for fun, I also got an Inspector Elf Custom Stamp with our elf {Elfie}’s name on it because I knew Little Crafter would love it.

This handy little tag lets LC know that his gifts were inspected and approved by his buddy Elfie at the Toy Packing Center. Seriously, you guys…how cute is that?

Expressionery also has tons of custom address stamps too that will save you time when you send out your cards.
What do you think? Do you like to create handmade gift tags too?
