Mulled Spiced Apple Cider

This time of year as the weather turns cool and the holidays approach, I love finding ways to make my home feel even more cozy and inviting. Seasonal decorations are definitely part of it, but I’ve also found that scent plays a huge role in the atmosphere of a home.  For me, certain scents really evoke feelings of warmth and joy, especially anything with a hint of cinnamon! This year, my fragrance of choice is CHERISH THE PRESENT™ from the new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection. With notes of apple and cinnamon, it creates a homey feeling and makes me want to give thanks for the warmth and love of the season.

There are four scents in the Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection, and each one aims to embody the moments with friends and family that make the holidays so special. BE AT PEACE™, CHERISH THE PRESENT™, SEND A LITTLE LOVE™, and SHARE THE SPIRIT™ are the perfect complements to your celebrations, whether it’s inviting friends and family for dinner, getting together to sing songs of the season or spreading sentiments of peace and love for the new year. I like to burn the jar candle and use a premium room spray just before guests arrive. You can also find these fragrances in wax melts and PlugIns Scented Oils at your local Safeway or Albertson’s store.

My particular favorite of the scents, CHERISH THE PRESENT™, reminds me of snuggling up under a cozy blanket with a mug of mulled apple cider. It gives off a scent similar to the wonderful aroma of cider warming in the crock pot, which is one of my favorite things. In fact, we have a delicious recipe for Mulled Apple Cider that is always the hit of our holiday gatherings. Today, since I unfortunately can’t have you all over for a mug of it, I wanted to share it with you so you can try it for yourself.
