One Shirt, Five Ways

My current style obsession, in case you haven’t noticed, happens to be graphic tees. This summer, I’ve been all about easy outfits, so I’ve been cycling through a few favorite {comfortable!} tees and pairing them with just about anything I can find in my closet. Graphic tees are so fabulously versatile, and they’re a great way to make a statement. I particularly love this one I got from Anthropologie that declares, “joie de vivre,” or “joy of living.”

One Shirt: 5 Ways

I bought this shirt online via Splender. If you haven’t heard of it, Splender is a site that allows you to earn up to 40% cash back on your online purchases. It’s free to join and use for your online shopping in more than 800 popular stores. All you do is select a store at the Splender site, click a deal or offer you want, and get transferred to the store’s website. Browse and complete your purchase just as you normally would. The store pays Splender a commission, which Splender then shares with you in the form of cash back.

I started by finding and selecting Anthropologie in the database of stores.

Then, I picked my deal.

Finally, I ended up on the Anthropologie site, where I added my shirt to my cart and checked out.

Easy peasy, and I got money back just for shopping! Yay! The process was simple and my order arrived in just a few days. I also used Splender to order a sweet little pair of Marc Jacobs crescent moon earrings from Bloomingdale’s. Little Crafter and I always tell each other, “I love you to the moon and back,” so when I saw them, I couldn’t resist! They were on sale to begin with, then I also got the extra 4% cash back.

Here are some of the different outfits I put together using my same graphic tee. I love how pairing it with different bottoms and accessories can totally change the feel. It can be dressy, totally casual, rocker chic, and everything in between. Take a look…

1. Dress it Up

It’s easy to dress up a graphic tee just by combining it with a flirty, feminine skirt. For this look, I paired the shirt with a short and flowy pleated pink skirt and a wide black belt. To accessorize, I added a painted wooden bangle and some dangle earrings, along with a felt hair flower that matches the skirt.

2. Keep it Casual

This everyday look works everywhere from the grocery store to the carpool lane; just add a relaxed pair of linen pants and your favorite pair of Converse. You’ll be cool, casual, and comfortable wherever your day takes you. I kept the accessories simple too, wearing the crescent moon earrings and two bracelets my son has given me that have our saying on them.

3. Playful Prints

Just because the shirt itself has stripes, don’t be afraid to choose a bottom with a print of its own! Mixing prints can actually work really well, as long as you keep it subtle and coordinate the rest of the outfit. I paired a skirt with a dainty floral pattern with the striped shirt, then upped the flirty factor with a wide brimmed floppy hat perfect for summer. To finish off this outfit with a polished look, I added my favorite pair of Vera Wang heels.

4. Definitely Denim

My go-to layering piece during the entire fall and winter is a classic denim jacket. For this sweet and casual look, I paired the shirt with a white skirt and my jacket, then added a thin red belt for a pop of color. My shoes, which aren’t pictured here, are red as well. Dangle earrings and a black bracelet complete the look.

5. Rocker Chic

Leather gives any outfit an entirely different feel, doesn’t it? To completely change the style of this outfit, I threw a black leather vest over my tee and went with a classic pair of jeans. The accessories this time were my moon earrings, a beaded black and silver bracelet, a large black ring, and sunglasses.

What do you think? Which look is your favorite? Hubby chose look #5 with the vest and jeans, while Little Crafter’s favorite is #1 with the pink skirt and flower in my hair. I think I personally like the denim jacket outfit best. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
