Neighbor Welcome Gift

Can I just start this post by saying that we absolutely love our new home? The house is amazing; everything we need {just wait till you see my crafting space!!!} and what’s more, we ended up with some really great neighbors. We now share a small private drive with three other houses, so we’re hoping to make good friends with all of those families. One of them came and introduced themselves the day we moved in and their boys {ages 4 and 7} have been playing with Little Crafter on a daily basis already! I still need to go and meet the other families, though, and I don’t want to go empty-handed. So, I whipped up this super simple and quick little gift.

All you need is:
– a pack of microwave popcorn {or a whole box works too}
– neutral colored fabric
– scissors or a punch
– Tulip Fabric Markers
– twine

Step 1: Cut or punch your fabric into a tag shape.

Step 2: Use the Tulip Fabric Markers to draw and write a message on the tag. I drew two pieces of popcorn with the message, “Popping by to say hi” then outlined the tag with little polka dots.

Step 3: Tie the tag to your popcorn.

Really. It doesn’t get much easier than this. As we’re still in the process of unpacking, setting up the house, and decorating, I don’t have a ton of time or extra money to get/make the new neighbors something fancy, but this feels just right. It’s just a little gesture of friendliness that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the personalized tag makes it look like a purposeful, cute gift instead of something I randomly grabbed out of my pantry and brought next door. What do you think? What are some of your favorite neighbor gifts to give/receive?

Today, I also have a chance for you to win a pack of your own Tulip Fabric Markers along with some other goodies to use them on! You can enter through the Rafflecopter below; good luck!
