Lucky FABB: Outfit #2

Lucky FABB, as you probably already know, was amazing!  And so was the weather in California.  For the first time in forever {yes, I’m singing Frozen in my head now and so are you}, I actually didn’t feel cold all the time!  As promised, here’s a look at the outfit I chose for the actual day of the FABB conference.

Dress: Target // Denim Jacket: Old Navy // Boots: Target // Earrings and Bracelets: Bead for Life // Bag: Epiphanie

I built the look around one of my current favorite dresses…another LBD with a special twist!  This one has a perforated hem {at least I think that’s what you call it}, so it’s got a fun lacy look without actually having any lace on it.  Since the conference itself wasn’t a super dressy event, I added my well-loved Old Navy Denim Jacket to make the dress feel a little more casual and rolled up the sleeves.

To liven things up a little, I went with some very colorful accessories; two multi-colored bracelets and a pair of multi-colored earrings from Bead for Life.  I mentioned them briefly before I left for L.A…they’re a nonprofit organization that teaches women in Uganda to actually roll the beads from recycled paper, pays them fair trade wages, and helps them to become self sufficient in their own communities.  I’ll be sharing more about it with you soon!

I opted to forego a necklace because I knew we’d be getting a badge on a long chain to wear.  Every time I go to a conference I forget that, and then my statement necklace gets hidden behind my badge.  Ah, the difficulties of blogger life…:)  To finish off the look, I opted for my ankle boots once again, because they’re comfortable but also give me a little bit of height.

My favorite accessory of all, though, was my new fuchsia Clover Epiphanie Bag!  This beauty not only holds my Nikon D5100 camera and my external SpeedLight flash, it also carries my 15″ laptop!  Plus, there was still enough room inside for my sunglasses, my key card, my lip gloss, my folder from Lucky, and more!  And how cute is that little camera charm?!  This bag came with me everywhere, including as my “personal item” on those long plane rides across the country.  I don’t think I’ll ever travel without it again!  The best news is that I am going to get to give one away here on the blog next week, so be sure you come back and enter for your chance to win!!

What do you think?  FABB-worthy?
