Pfister Faucet Giveaway!

Friends, we’re getting personal today.  Are you ready?  I’m inviting you into…my bathroom!
Meet Mr. Old Shower Head.  He’s been living in our bathroom since well before Little Crafter was born.  And lately, he’s been the cause of some serious angst.

I don’t know if it’s a hose problem or a clip problem or a random I-have-no-idea-why problem, but instead of staying in place, Mr. Old Shower Head likes to sporadically move during one’s shower.  Everything is all hunky-dory, and then, aah!  Water is spraying the wall or the shower curtain instead of the person.  You fix it, and it happens again.  This is unacceptable, particularly to hubby, who seems to be Mr. Old Shower Head’s favorite victim.  And so, we had to break up.  Not me and hubby, of course, I’m talking about the Artsy Family and Mr. Old Shower Head.  I’d say, “It’s not you, it’s me, but…well, it’s you.  We’re moving on.”

So, may I introduce you to “Mr. Dreamy,” our new shower head from Pfister Faucets.

It just so happened that around the time Mr. Old Shower Head started acting up, I got the opportunity to review the faucet of my choice from Pfister so that I could tell you all about it.  We could have chosen any one of their kitchen faucets {which are gorgeous!} or their bathroom faucets {also gorgeous!}, but it was a no brainer to go for a shower head.  Hubby and I browsed our options and chose this Dream Handheld Shower.
This particular shower head is the right choice for our family for several different reasons.  First, I insist on having a handheld shower because I use it to wash my hair in the mornings.  You want to know why?  Really?  To make a long story short, I’m a night-shower person because I like being clean when I get in bed, but if I wash my hair right before bed and sleep with it wet, I get a stiff neck and funky-awful bedhead the next day.  I’m also really prone to uber-painful adult ear infections which happen more often when I wash my hair while showering.  SO, I shower at night but separately wash my hair with the handheld in the morning.  Glad you asked?

It’s also great for us because it’s very easy to adjust the height for whoever is showering.  Since the heights in our family are 6’1″, 5’4″, and 3’5″, you can imagine that the water would hit us at very different places if we couldn’t adjust it to our needs.  When we stay in a hotel with a stationary showerhead, hubby always complains that he has to duck, and poor LC just gets a face full of water.  I, of course, am fine.  Apparently God made me the perfect height.  But in our own home, it’s nice to be able to keep everyone happy.

I figured installing it would mean a call to the plumber, but I was happily wrong.  Instead, my boys got out their toolboxes and did the install themselves.

It took them about ten minutes, and we had a fully functioning shower with no leaks or issues!  I have no idea what they’re doing here, but isn’t it cute?

Little Crafter could probably tell you all about the process.  I just know it involved taping some things and attaching others.  Here, they’re screwing the head onto the hose.

Ta-da!  It works!  Welcome to our bathroom, Mr. Dreamy!  We’re so glad to have you around!

Meanwhile, I have to tell you this funny story; a few days after the boys did the install, hubby was teasing Little Crafter and they had this conversation:
Hubby: “Who was my good helper putting the new shower head up?  Must’ve been Mommy!”
LC: “No!  I did a lot of work!  All Mommy did was take pictures!”
So, the good news is that we no longer have a temperamental and unpredictable showerhead!  Yay!
And the even better news is that I’m not the only one who’s going to have a reason to thank Pfister every day.  Here’s the scoop:
Pfister is giving one reader the faucet of her/his choice, up to $300 in value!
That’s right, you can choose a showerhead like we did, or you can go for something for the kitchen or bathroom sink…winner’s choice!  Rafflecopter will walk you through the entry process; good luck!

Congrats on your new shower head! I like the look of the Shelton 1-Handle, Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet. I recently learned that shopping for a new kitchen faucet is tough. I have very expensive tastes and a small budget.

I adore the “bronze” collections – so beautiful! We redid our powder room, and all of our accent pieces are in a very dark and antiqued bronze, similar to these collections. But we haven’t yet splurged on the sink faucet and handles! :) Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
