Boho Beaded Bracelet
I don’t know about you, friends, but my summer wardrobe consists of a variety of different colors. I’ve got some coral, some yellow, lots of turquoise, some pink, various shades of blue, and even some black and white. So, I decided to make myself a bracelet that would match just about anything so that I can grab it and go, knowing it will look great no matter what I’m wearing for the day. In the end, it actually ended up being two bracelets that I can either wear individually or stacked. Here’s how I made them, and you can too!
Not an experienced jewelry maker? This is the perfect starter project for you! No tools or special skills required!
All you need is:
– small multicolored beads {mine were provided by Wholeport.com}
– “Peace” or other word bead {mine is from ConsumerCrafts.com}
– elastic stringing cord
– scissors
All I did was measure my wrist and cut two pieces of elastic stringing cord that were 4″ longer than my measurement. For the “Peace” bracelet, I put the word bead on first, then added 17 beads on each side of it. Then, I tied the cord tightly and cut the ends. For the other bracelet, I just strung the beads in a random order, then tied off the cord.
This project took me about fifteen minutes, and would have taken even less if I hadn’t let go of one end of the cord and had to restring one entire bracelet.
Little Crafter and I were supposedly playing a game of “Trouble” while I was stringing these, but since he decided he wanted to pop the bubble for me and move my game pieces, I had both hands free for crafting! Easiest game I ever played…I didn’t have to do a thing!
The hardest part of it all for me was trying to “randomly” string the beads. I’m so Type A; I want a pattern and symmetry! So, it was actually more effort for me to be random! Can any of you relate? I’m guessing yes…don’t make me say names!
What do you think? If you try making your own, I’d love to see how they turn out! Be sure and share them with us in the Amy Latta & Friends Facebook group. See you there.
Very pretty. I really like the peace bar, it’s simplicity is lovely.
I hear you on wanting symmetry! It would be hard for me to have a random pattern – I would have to consciously make it random… which is so the opposite!
Love the “peace” bead. I can imagine this with initials, too (i.e. AB + CD).
Really cute, I like patterns as well but it’s very pretty
You’re going to convince me to make jewelry before too much longer! I love this look! 🙂
I love those little beads and how you can wear it with just about anything! So pretty.
The look lovely.
And yes, I can totally relate, stringing beads randomly… almost impossible. 😉
Love the bracelets! Great project for the kids to make too!
Cute! 🙂
Cute and colorful. Love the word bead.
I love how colorful your bracelets are….very springy and summery!
such a cute bracelet! love the colors you used!
I love it!
I use a smallbinder clip on one end untill I tie off.
Good idea!
