Dangle Shell Earrings

You all know that one of my favorite colors this season is coral!  But, a close second is royal blue.  It’s so deep and gorgeous, and will transition really well into summer too with its nautical feel.  I have a few favorite blue pieces in my spring and summer wardrobe, but I didn’t have a pair of earrings that I loved to go with them.  So, what’s an artsy mama to do?  Make some, of course!
Here’s how I did it, and you can too!  Wholeport.com provided me with the beads; here’s everything I used:

Materials:
– 12 mm round blue shell beads
– 6 jump rings
– 6 head pins
– 2 earwires
– needle nose pliers, flat nose pliers, wire cutters

First, choose six beads and put each one on a head pin.  Form a wire loop {use needle nose pliers to bend the head pin at a 90 degree angle, trim, and bend into loop shape}.

Next, join three jump rings together; I ended up using two large and one small, but you can use whatever sizes you prefer.

Place one bead on each jump ring.

Attach ear wire to top jump ring.

There you have it, a simple pair of fun dangle earrings perfect for spring and summer!
