Patterned Bangle Bracelet

  Last week, as I was perusing Craftgawker, I saw the most gorgeous DIY bangles.  I clicked for the tutorial and found myself at My Poppet reading about how to make Harlequin Bangles.  I still have a stash of fabulous wooden bangles and other unfinished wood supplies from Tiff at Banglewood Craft Supplies, so it took me all of thirty seconds to run downstairs, grab one, and get started making my own.
The major difference between my bracelet and the original is that she used origami paper and Mod Podge, while I decided to try using adhesive vinyl instead.  Here’s what you need to make my version:
Materials:
wooden bangle {the flatter the better for this project}!
– adhesive vinyl in desired colors
– scissors
– paper, pencil, and ruler
– Mod Podge {optional}
Cintia over at My Poppet does a great job giving the full tutorial, so for more info on exactly how to make these, so be sure to check it out for more information and step by step instructions.
As for me, confession time…for whatever inexplicable reason, even though I measured and sketched my pieces ahead of time like Cintia recommends, somehow it didn’t come out perfectly and I ended up having to trim a few pieces to make everything fit right.  If anyone can explain that to me, please do!  In any case, it’s still passable and no one will notice from a distance, right?  Right?!
What colors would you use?  I’m thinking I need another one with corals and pinks.
Hugs & Glitter,
