Shine on Fridays #59 : A link party with a cause!

Happy weekend-before-Christmas, friends!!  Can you believe how close it's getting?  We are so ready to party around here, but first, we have a little business to take care of.

Here's a peek at one of the most viewed links from last week's party!  Be sure to stop by and check out some more of my personal favorites at Top 10 Thursday!

Easy & Delicious Coconut Candy: Chicken Babies
You know I love me some sweets, and I bet you can guess that yes, I'm hungry now.

Oh, and for another yumm-o candy recipe, check out the Irresistable English Toffee I posted today!

Now, on to the party...

This week, Kara and I are doing something a little different. I know many of you are as heartbroken as we are over the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy in Newtown, CT.   Personally, I can't stop thinking about it...about those precious children and their parents...wondering how anyone could possibly help.  I can't stop reaching out and touching LC whenever he's within arm's distance and I've been snuggling him to sleep lately because I just want to stare at his face and breathe in the sight and smell and feel of my greatest gift from God.  If you're feeling the same way, we want you to know that we're taking action right here and now.

We have teamed up with a number of other bloggers for this week's link party with a cause. Fo this special party, for every link you add, $1 will be donated to the Western Connecticut United Way. Thank you for supporting the party and the cause. Because of how widely hosted this weekend's party is, links you add here will be immediately visible on several blogs! The details are below including who is donating, and what you should link today. Thanks for coming by and for being a part of this with us.

  2. Thank you for hosting this great party for a cause...yes, we are heart broken with what happened in Conn., but we must go on and praise our Lord Jesus Crhist's birth and embrace ourselves with HIM. Wishing you and yours a happy and blessed Christmas.
