#ThankfulGame

I don’t know about you, friends, but I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is just a little more than two weeks away!  How did that happen?  As the holidays approach, it’s easy to get caught up in other things and forget to slow down to be thankful for all the blessings we have.  That’s why Little Crafter and I made up something we call the “thankful game.” We made it up last November and have played it ever since.  Basically, all we do is take turns saying things we’re thankful for.  Ours often sounds a lot like this.

Me: I’m thankful for…you!
LC: “I’m ‘fankful’ for the beach!
Me: “Hmm.  For hugs and kisses.”
LC: “Farbucks {starbucks}”
Me: “For our home.”
LC: “For daddy.  And Grandma and Pop-Pop”
Me: “And Grammy and Poppy”

And we just go on and on until he gets distracted by something else.  I love it because it’s a time for both of us just to stop and think and be grateful.

So, here’s what I thought would be fun.  Now that I’m completely addicted to on Instagram, I thought it would be fun for all of us to play the Thankful Game together!  Here’s how it works:

When you see something that you’re thankful for, snap a pic of it and post it it, along with the hashtag #thankfulgame.  If you want, you can also tag me {@oneartsymama} so I’ll be sure to see it!
I’ll show them to LC too, so we are all playing together.  I’d love for you to share this with your friends too, by telling them, sharing on FB or Twitter, or pinning this, so that we can get a really good game going!  We’ll keep it running through the end of November…anytime you want to post is fine with me!  You can play once, or you can play a hundred times a day, it’s up to you!  Now, let’s get started!  Oh, and be sure to follow me so you can see what I’m thankful for too!  I may even let LC snap a few pics now and then…

Counting my blessings,
