Silly Pumpkins

I don’t know about your house, but in ours, it’s pumpkin time!
Over the weekend, we went to a local pick-your-own patch, where Little Crafter picked out his favorites.

Then, it was time for even more fun…decorating them!  We basically pulled out a bunch of things we had in our stash…google eyes, pipe cleaners, pom poms, glue {much of which we’d gotten from Craftprojectideas.com} and went to town.  LC decided the first one should be a spider.  Although he insisted that it be a silly spider, not a spooky one, and that it have six legs instead of eight.  Whatever you say, little man.

He determined that the second one needed a face…here’s how it turned out.

I have to say, I love that he’s at the age where he has his own ideas and preferences and basically can decorate them himself…it’s too fun to see what he comes up with!  I provided a few suggestions here and there, but most of the ideas were his own.  He is beyond proud of them.

But wait…we’re not finished yet!  After we had put the pumpkins out on the porch and I’d started cleaning up, LC insisted that we had one more thing to do.  See, we had just gotten another surprise goody box from our friends at Craftprojectideas.com; check out our haul!

My Little Crafter had his eye on those glitter shakers.  And truth be told, I did too.  So, we brought the pumpkins back in once more and added a little bling.  Much better.

How do you like to decorate your pumpkins?

Happy Crafting!
