What is it? Well, I'm glad you asked. In some ways, it's like a photo scrapbook, but it's specially designed to be a place to record all those funny and inspiring things kids say! It's mostly predesigned, so the hard work is done for you, you just get to plug in your own photos and make it totally personal. See?
Here are some of the features ít has:
- a plastic cover {I love this because it protects the cover from spills, tears, etc.}
- 32 pages with spots for 16-19 photos
- coil-bound with elastic closure {makes it easier to write in}
- printed on premium, uncoated, 100% recycled fiber paper {it's really high-quality paper! I write on it with a fine point sharpie and the marker doesn't bleed through}
And here's a peek at our book...forgive the crummy photos, I had to send my Nikon away to fix something I broken when I knocked it off the table while distressing a wooden sign...but that's another story.
These are just a few of the pages I'm totally in love with. Seriously, this book is so. stinking. gorgeous. It literally took my breath away when I opened the package and flipped through for the first time. The photos are crystal clear, the colors are vibrant, and I just love having so many places to record LC's sayings.
Want to "hear" a few of my favorites?
"Dear Jesus, please help Daddy not to eat my lunch. Amen."
"My foot is like a rock today." - kicking the football
"Will you wear something pretty for me? I'll wear something nice for you." - getting ready for a Mama-LC dinner date
"That's as beautiful as it gets." - after banging out a made up song on the piano
Did I ever mention I love this kid?!

Love the journals!!
ReplyDeleteI would record something from all the kids, maybe going back into memories for funny comments the older kids made or did. I have a feeling most of the book would be from my 5 and 2 year-olds.
ReplyDeleteI would do my daughter. She is saying the funniest things lately! And I love this idea!
ReplyDeleteI am working on a project right now with Paper Coterie making a picture book of my girls. I'm so excited for it. And I did their book that they had for Father's Day. It turned out fabulous!
kids do say the darndest things!! In August, I remember asking my oldest nephew if he was excited for his new baby brother (due in October) and him telling me "well, I wasn't really expecting it.. soooo I don't really know yet" because his little brother was planned and prepped for, however the new baby was not so much :)
ReplyDeletenot sure where to put this- but paper coterie's memory boxes are probably my favorite product, so awesome
ReplyDeleteAs it's way too long to wait untill my not even born yet kid will start talking, I'll do my family & firnds ;)

My little one!
ReplyDeleteI like their cards!
ReplyDeleteMy son is only 19 months old so I don't have any memorable quotes, but it would definitely be a great book to have handy when he does start talking more!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite product is the All About Me A-Z book. I am a firm believer in working with children on reading/phonics/vocab skills starting at a young age and this book would be great to connect things he knows with the letters they start with!
ReplyDeleteThe memorable quotes would be awesome. Kids say the funniest things.
ReplyDeleteRight now I would record my son's quotes, but eventually my daughters too. My son is 4 and my daughter is 2 so she will have some soon.
ReplyDeleteI'd record quotes from my 3yo daughter.
