Swing Dance Table Numbers

Remember how I was part of organizing a Dinner Dance?  You may have seen the post about our fun Sheet Music Mason Jar Centerpieces.

We also had to come up with a fun way to display table numbers since we assigned our guests to particular tables.  I wanted them to coordinate with the centerpieces, to be dance-related, and to cost as little as possible.  So, here’s what we made:

Materials:
– unfinished wooden photo frames {mine cost $1 each at Michaels}
– sheet music
– cardstock
– glue, tape, and scissors
– dance {or other} photos

Little Crafter actually helped me with these; he assisted with painting each frame either yellow or turqouise.  We painted the backs too so that people across the table didn’t have something ugly to look at.  The next step was to cut hearts from sheet music attached to {or printed on} cardstock.  Then, I cut out each number in a coordinating cardstock and we attached it to the heart with an adhesive dot.  Finally, we inserted fun black and white dance photos.  One of the pictures is actually one from when hubby and I did a hustle showcase.  The others, I found by doing a Google image search for swing dance photos.

I thought they were fun and went well with the theme and feel for the evening.  What do you think?

Happy Crafting!
