Pinspired Jewelry

I just love getting inspired, don’t you?  I love seeing an idea of something I want to make and then turning it into reality!
Here are a few of the latest jewelry projects I’ve been inspired to create:
TOP-DRILLED BEAD NECKLACE
Here’s the original piece of jewelry I pinned ages ago.  I love the look of top-drilled beads; how they alternate when they are strung next to each other!
It took me awhile to find some that were a size and color I liked, but I finally did!  Here’s how my necklace turned out:
I can’t wait to wear it!
The second inspiration came from Fonda over at Southern Scraps when she linked up these Kate Spade inspired earrings at our Shine on Fridays party a few weeks ago.
I ran right out to the bead store to get some of those donut beads.  I originally wanted to replicate Fonda’s, but couldn’t find any white donuts.  I went for black instead, and ended up with this variation after playing around with a few different options.
While I was making them, I also worked on recreating another pair of earrings I’d seen on Pinterest.  I love the unique look of these and the spirals.
Here’s my attempt.

Finally, last week, a friend of mine sent me this image on Facebook and asked if I could create something similar for her.

She wanted “Joshua 1:9” stamped on it.  I couldn’t find blank silver tags, but she liked the bronze too, so we ended up with this.  I actually just added it to my Etsy shop today.

You can see I’ve been having fun!  What about you?  Which piece do you like best?  What inspires you to create?
Happy crafting!

  1. You are so talented, especially in this jewelry-making arena. I love to see what you’ll come up with next and I have to admit that I’ve never even heard of these top-drilled beads. Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing at our party this week.
