My Memories Suite Giveaway

Ooooooohhhhh, friends, do I have some good news for you!

Recently, we all got some bad news when we heard that our beloved photo editing site Picnik is leaving us forever in April.  When I heard the news, I felt like a good friend moved away or someone took my Starbucks mocha and poured it down the drain. We're talking serious bummer.  But, friends, dry those tears and put your tissues aside, because I've found us an answer!

Actually, it kind of fell into my lap.  {Thanks, Jesus!}
You've probably heard of My Memories Suite,
a digital scrapbooking software that's awesome for creating all kinds of scrapbook layouts, like this one that I made with some of my favorite recent photos of our family.

I was recently offered the opportunity to test and review the newest version of the software, My Memories Suite Version 3, and just as everyone else who's tried it has discovered, it's easy to use, has tons of fabulous features, and can create memorable, gorgeous pieces of art...like this sweet page I made with pics of Little Crafter, his cousin Ms. K., and their great-gramma.

I was loving everything the software could do, and of course, I love that it's scrapbooking minus the mess!  Wooooo!  Always a good thing, especially with a toddler in the house.
 But what I really wanted more than anything was something that would do all the things I used to do in Picnik.  You know.

Blog buttons.

Headers.

Printables.

All the really important things we crazy blog-a-haulics need!
I just knew that there had to be a way to take all of the fantastic background papers, embellishments, word art, and other features of this scrapbook software and make it do what I wanted.
Lo and behold, dear readers, I was right!

{Cue "Hallelujah Chorus"}

Behold my first button created with the My Memories Suite V3

Watch how easy it is to do...I made up another Shine on Fridays button and took some screen shots for you.

First, you open the software and choose a new album.  You  want square if you're making a square button, obviously.  If you're doing a header or a rectangular button, pick the appropriate one, then choose the "Custom Size" tab.  Change the units to pixels and specify.  The smallest you can go is 200x200, so that's what I did.

Then, have fun choosing from a ton of options for your background.  You can also buy digital kits on the website that have papers, embellishments, and word art in any color/theme/etc. that your heart desires, trust me!

Once I had my background, I added a rectangle shape and made it pink.  Then, I added text.

I added a mat to my pink shape and put in a cute little star embellishment..."shine," you know!

TA-DA!

And yes, you can make headers too.  Just pick Landscape for your album type and specify your pixels; mine's 990 x 230 full size.

 Of course, printables are totally doable, just choose your size, and go to town.  Seriously.  It's that easy.

See?  Chin up, friends.  There IS life after Picnik, after all!

I know you're going to love it.
Which is why I'm thrilled to announce that My Memories is giving this software away {a $39.97 value} to one lucky reader here at One Artsy Mama!
 Rafflecopter will walk you through the process of entering to win; just be patient and wait for it to load.  All you have to do is visit their site and tell me your favorite digital pack.  There are ways to get extra entries too!

If you just can't wait, or you don't happen to be the winner,
I still have good news!
Just use this special code for $10 off the software, plus a $10 coupon to the store where you can buy whatever digital kits strike your fancy.  And the best part is, once you buy the software, it's yours forever, no annual fees like Picnik had to use all its goodies.

  8. Do you know...I HAVE this software, and did a giveaway for it on my blog before Christmas. I've been using it to make my own printables and am LOVING it! However, I must say thank you, because I was completely unaware until I read this post, that I could go as small as 200x200 to make blog buttons AND do headers in landscape. I'm figuring it out as I tinker along, as with all my blog stuff, too. I'm stoked now, because I see that it will be a great thing to use more and more once picnik drops! I'm not entering your giveaway, just had a WOW! I didn't know it could DO that!! moment and had to say thanks ; )
