This is the time of year when we all make resolutions.
It's a time for reflecting, prioritizing, goal-setting, and focusing on what's really important to us.
In the spirit of making great choices in 2012, I thought I'd share with you the best advice I ever received.
About five years ago, I was part of a group that was organizing a Christian retreat weekend. We had taken a break from planning to have some snacks, and I was biting into a less-than-stellar storebought cookie. The wife of the pastor pulled me aside and told me something I've never forgotten. Are you ready for some deep, profound, life-changing advice...here it is
{I even made you a printable!}:
Isn't that fantastic?! I can't tell you how many times I've tried something that wasn't so good and heard Ellen's voice in my head. I smile as I leave the mediocrity on my plate and move on to something much better...much more worth the calories!
Along the same theme, I came across this quote and wholeheartedly agreed {you know how I feel about my Starbucks...}
And, if you're so inclined, here they are button-sized and ready to display on your blog, FB page, or wherever you like to use them. Just right click on the image, save to your computer, and have fun!
Enjoy!
Happy Resolution-Keeping!

ReplyDeleteSo true. My friend and I used to live by the phrase, "If it's not fabulous, it's not worth the calories.". And, I am totally in agreement with the coffee one!
