Jewelry for the Cure…and a Giveaway!
Are you thinking pink? In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, not only are we having a Pink Party where you can link up all your pink projects and recipes, I’ve also decided to create some Jewelry for the Cure. Breast cancer has affected the lives of countless women I know, and I wanted to find some way to use the skills God has given me to help in the race to find a cure. What I came up with were a few unique pieces to add to the Etsy shop that are designed to honor or remember those who have battled the disease.
With each sale, I will make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Here are a few of the special pieces:
Pink “Circle of Hope” Pendant with Initial
$15 {$10 of which goes to Susan G. Komen Foundation}
Any initial{s} can be added to personalize this and make it either a reminder for you or a gift for a loved one whose life has been touched by breast cancer. The D in this photo represents my great-aunt Doris, who is a survivor! I’m so grateful she is still here and was able to celebrate Little Crafter’s third birthday in great health.
Pink Dangle Earrings
$8 {$5 goes to the Susan G. Komen Foundation}
“Pop of Pink” Pendant
$10 {$5 goes to the Susan G. Komen Foundation}
In addition to these specially made pieces, for the month of October, I will donate either $5 or 50% {whichever is greater} of the price of any pink item to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
I will make the donations in the name of whoever the customer chooses.
It’s not much, but it’s this artsy mama’s way of hopefully making a little difference.
I am doing this in honor of:
Doris Blizzard, Dianne Steen, Denise Lewis, April Pugh, Jerry Lastfogel, Lori, Sarah Robrecht and Kelly Rumbaugh, breast cancer survivors
and in memory of
Kathy Cousins
One more thing…you didn’t think I forgot, did you? I promised a giveaway to celebrate another huge milestone here at One Artsy Mama! I recently hit 400 followers, which is amazing since it means our community here has doubled in size in just a little over a month. Wow! I’m so excited about so many new friends! And so, I’m going to give away the pink item of your choice from my shop to one lucky reader. Here’s how to enter.
1. Follow One Artsy Mama {mandatory} – 1 entry
2. Follow One Artsy Mama on Facebook – 1 entry
3. Leave a comment telling me which item you’d choose – 1 entry

Hi there! I love it all…I am an 11 year survivor! Thank you for doing this blessed event and donating to find a cure! If I had to chose one piece, it would be the “Circle of Hope”, it is my favorite, because, you can never give up Hope! Thankfully God carried me through!

Jewelry for a Cure is a project that we should all support. To think that by buying those beautiful accessories in a good price for a good cause is satisfying. Good job Amy!
