Have you enjoyed the craft challenge so far? It’s so exciting to see all the wonderful things you all are creating. Ready for another go-round?
This week’s challenge……Door Decor!
I always struggle with finding just the right seasonal accent for on the front door. But, this year I’ve been inspired by lots of great ideas I’ve seen on Pinterest and on other blogs. Here are a few {ok, a lot, because I couldn’t control myself} examples in the hopes that they’ll inspire you too.
If you love that natural look, one of my bloggy BFF’s, Terry, over at These Peas Taste Funny made this gorgeous autumn wreath using acorns, pinecones, and other natural materials. She has a great tutorial here.
Here’s a totally different look…leaves made from old book pages. {Jaime Klebig, I can see you drooling…}
This one’s from good ol’ Martha Stewart, and the tutorial is here.
I am loving this “Modern Fall Wreath” from the CSI project. It’s so fun and different but the colors still give an autumn feel. I think I might add some brown and gold to it too… I’m also glad to see that she managed to hang it around her door knocker without it looking too goofy; that’s one of my biggest door decor issues!
For those of you who like a country feel, this one is made of fabric scraps and twine.
I’m loving the monogram wreath trend, like this one over at Lookie What I Did. You can use any kind of wreath {maybe grapevine for fall?}, any color ribbon, any style of letter…so many ways to customize!
And finally, I think this one from Better Homes & Gardens made of Indian corn is so striking in its simplicity.
Now it’s your turn!
Ready to play along?
Step 1: Make your version of one of the projects shown here, or create something totally new and different.
Step 2: Take a picture of it!
Step 3: If you have a blog of your own, type up a quick post about it anytime in the next week; it can be a tutorial or just the picture of what you made. Don’t forget to grab this button from the sidebar and add it to your post so others know you’re participating in the challenge and can come play too! If you don’t have your own blog, skip to Step 4!

Step 4: Link up below my siggy and enjoy the party! If you don’t have a blog, send me your pic via Facebook or email {dancers4life at gmail dot com} and you can still play along!
