Off to Work We Go

Believe it or not, our vacation wasn’t all about relaxation.
It wasn’t even all about swimming in the pool or jumping in the ocean.
The truth is, our vacation is partially funded by hubby’s company because he has to do two days of work while we’re there, representing them at a big convention/trade show…and on one of those days, Little Crafter and I get to go to work too!
Hubby works for a water well supply company, so the show has all kinds of products for well drillers, plumbers, and such…including giant rigs like this one.  There are also lots of fun free things for little folks like this cool hat.
*One of the highlights of the whole trip for me was when the man who gave him the hat said that he was the most polite child to come through the show all day…which was saying a lot because kids were everywhere!!*
Two of the companies, Amtrol and Goulds, also part-sponsor race cars which they had on the show floor.  Noah got to sit in one and meet the driver of the other.
He was super-impressed even though neither one was Lightning McQueen.
His favorite thing about the convention center, though, was the giant escalator.  Don’t even ask how many times we rode it.  I lost count.
After we “worked” with Daddy for an hour or so, Noah and I ventured over to the Children’s Museum of SC, a really fun hands on place for kids of all ages.  We’ve been there four times before, and each time Noah is able to enjoy different aspects of it.  One of his faves is making a giant bubble around himself.
I didn’t get a ton of great pics there because, frankly, I was busy playing. 🙂  But if you ever get to the Myrtle Beach area and have little ones with you, it’s definitely a great place to check out!  As Dr. Seuss would say, “These things are fun and fun is good!”
